Bergen Roller Mills
Located in Bergen, built and operated by Thomas Jefferson Tone (1830-1903). According to a historical marker (below), it ground "wheat for flour, and other grains for cattle feed".
The site was adjacent to the rail lines through Bergen, at 10 Gates St, Bergen, NY 14416. This old map of Bergen shows the site.
The building was still there when Dan Harrington visited in 2018, now used by a company called Lawn Medic.
A millstone from the mill is on display in Bergen with an informative sign and a photo from when Bergen Roller Mills existed.
In 📔 The Town of Bergen, A HISTORY it says that the mills started in 1898, which doesn't match the information on the historical marker above.
The 📔 Spofford and Tone Photo Album includes a newspaper clipping on the sale of the mills.
